...you should consider joining the Des Moines Jaycees! We are a volunteer community service organization for young people in the Des Moines area.  Through serving our community, the Des Moines Jaycees gain leadership experience, meet new people, make business contacts and have fun together!

Something for Everyone

There's always something fun to do in the Des Moines Jaycees.  Projects in the Des Moines Jaycees fall into three categories:Community Development- community improvement and human services projects like our Holiday Shopping Tour for Underprivileged Children.  

Individual Development- projects for self-improvement or just for fun.  Public speaking, yoga, and resume writing are examples of past "ID" projects.

Management Development- socials, fund-raisers, and other projects that allow our chapter to function and have fun.  Apple River Tubing Trip, Dinner Club, 19th hole beer garden at Skywalk Golf are some examples.

Members gain valuable leadership and personal growth experience through involvement in project planning and management.
